Cancellation policy

How our subscriptions work
When you choose the subscription option on a product page, you’re signing up for repeat deliveries at the frequency you’ve selected. The first order arrives as a starter kit (a glass jar plus a refill pouch). After that, you receive refill pouches sized to fit through a standard letterbox.
Subscription pricing is discounted: 30% off our capsule products and 15% off Ignition. The discount applies to every renewal for as long as the subscription is active.
Subscriptions are managed for us by Loop, our subscription provider. When you place a subscription order, Loop sets up your account and emails you a link to your customer portal. From the portal you can:
- reschedule your next delivery,
- skip a delivery,
- pause your subscription,
- change the products on your subscription,
- update your delivery address or payment method,
- cancel your subscription.
Renewals and reminders
We email you before each renewal so you’re not surprised by a charge. The reminder includes a direct link to your customer portal in case you want to make a change.
Cancelling
You can cancel at any time, with no minimum term and no cancellation fee. The fastest route is the customer portal — log in, choose the subscription, and select Cancel. Any pending delivery that hasn’t been processed yet will be stopped.
If you can’t access the portal or you’d rather we did it for you, email help@thefunctionalmushroom.co with your order number and we’ll cancel it on your behalf within one working day.
After cancellation
Cancelling stops future deliveries. It does not refund deliveries you’ve already received — those are covered by our Refund policy, including the 60-day money-back guarantee and the 14-day statutory right to cancel for UK and EU consumers.
A note on the newsletter
Our marketing newsletter and our product subscription are two different things. Unsubscribing from the newsletter does not cancel a product subscription, and cancelling a product subscription does not unsubscribe you from the newsletter. If you want to do both, do them separately — the newsletter has its own unsubscribe link in every email.
Ignition (cordyceps coffee) subscriptions
Ignition is not currently available through the standard subscription portal because of a Shopify configuration we’re working through. If you’d like to receive Ignition regularly, email us at help@thefunctionalmushroom.co and we’ll set you up with a personal repeat-order discount until the standard subscription option is restored.
