Accessibility statement

The Functional Mushroom Company is committed to making our website usable for as many people as possible.
What we aim for
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. In practice that means we’re working towards a site that:
- works with keyboard navigation,
- works with the screen readers and magnifiers built into modern operating systems,
- has sufficient colour contrast for body text,
- keeps important information out of images alone,
- lets you change text size and zoom without breaking the layout.
Where we know we fall short
No website is perfectly accessible, and we don’t claim ours is. Areas we know need work or that we’re monitoring include:
- Some product imagery does not yet have descriptive alt text.
- Our cookie consent banner is provided by Shopify and follows their accessibility implementation rather than ours.
- We have not yet completed a full third-party WCAG 2.2 AA audit.
If you find an accessibility barrier we haven’t listed here, please tell us and we’ll fix it.
